The spectre in this film/photograph is Moslem Salmani. We met at Piraeus Port in Athens a few days after the EU closed the borders at the end of March 2016, and thousands of people got 'stuck' in Greece. Moslem worked as a photographer in Iran - we bonded over long exposure photos and then decided to make this together using light, darkness and time.
We met again in Berlin a year later to present the film and discussion at re:publica Media Convention Berlin, in May 2017. Moslem went on his own to present the film at Cinema Crossing Borders Conference, Bremen, April 2018. It also showed at European Media Art Festival, Osnabruck, 29 April 2017
